while Photographing Bald Eagles near Delta Lake state Park, I was pleasantly surprised, when an Amish Gentleman stopped and asked if it was Legal to fish Below the Dam during the Winter.I am not Current with the Regulations regarding fishing there, and told him that I know it's legal to fish there in the spring for Trout, But he Indicated he was looking for Pike. Most of the Ice fisherman were out in Force, on the Lake But this is my First encounter with an Amish Icefisherman. here is the parting shot

I have been Looking for something to photograph to combat the winter blahs, I came to one of my usual haunts, and photographed the Old Pumphouse, which sets below Delta Dam. The Dam is situated on the Mohawk river, just above Rome, Ny, and was once part of the Black river Canal system. The Mohawk River also supplys the New york state Barge Canal .

Last Minute
I Do not Normally take last minute assignments, or fulfill spur of the moment wishes from potential clients
Because I like to plan and calculate my projects.I said Normally, But this past Summer I did just That.
I was awakened by a phone call from a friend's son asking if I could photograph his wedding. His photographer backed out at the Last minute and he was hard pressed for time. Because it was midweek and his wedding was on saturday. I told him No, I no longer photographed weddings, but he was persistant and offered to pay me Cash,on the spot so I reluctantly agreed. The wedding went on without a hiccup, and as the day ended this was the final shot, and my Favorite.
